Hebrew Voices #39 – Hebrew Manuscript of the Book of Revelation: Part 1

Hebrew Manuscript of the Book of Revelation

This episode of Hebrew Voices is one of the most exciting things I have ever discovered: A Hebrew Manuscript of the Book of Revelation! This 17th century manuscript in the British Library contains the name Yehovah with full vowels and refers to "Yehoshua Mashiach". Torah-loving Methodist pastor AJ Bernard and the mysterious "T-Bone" joined me for a lively discussion of the Hebrew text and English translation. We unpacked topics such as the "Aleph Tav", the Jewish understanding of the Messiah coming on the clouds, and the meaning of Yehovah's holy Name.

Join me for this raw conversation with Doug Hamp of The Awakening Report. I look forward to reading your comments

In this episode of Hebrew Voices, Josephus, Theocracy, and Devaluing Freedom, Nehemia Gordon speaks with Dr. Michael Kochin, an Israeli professor of Political Science at Tel Aviv University, about how to live a Torah-life when ruled by pagans. They look at the 1st Century Jewish historian Josephus Flavius who coined the term "theocracy" to describe the rule of Judea by a council of self-appointed Priests and Pharisees. After the Roman conquest, Josephus struggled with the collision of Jewish Torah values with Greek Philosophy that "deliberately and explicitly sets out to devalue freedom". Josephus ultimately argued that it was still possible to live by the Torah despite the tyranny of Roman rule.
