Nehemia Gordon Earns His PhD from Bar-Ilan University on the Name of God

This morning, years of research culminated in Nehemia Gordon receiving his doctorate in Biblical Studies from Bar-Ilan University. Nehemia wrote his PhD dissertation on "The Writing, Erasure, and Correction of the Tetragrammaton in Medieval Hebrew Bible Manuscripts". Two of the chapters of the PhD dissertation have already been published in peer-reviewed academic journals with two further chapters accepted for publication. The following is a translation of the official letter issued by Bar-Ilan University.

I confirm herewith that Dr. Nehemia Gordon, identity number ~~~, from the Zalman Shamir Department of Bible has completed all of his academic obligations for a doctorate and his doctoral dissertation has been approved. Dr. Gordon is worthy of the title of "Doctor of Philosophy" beginning October 25, 2021.   With much respect,   Prof. Ronit Sarit School of Graduate Studies

While academic dissertations and journals are important, I also think it’s critical that I share my research and discoveries with the masses. I am therefore currently working on producing episodes, which explain my research and discoveries, and hope to be able to share them with you soon.
